First European Meeting in Fulda, Germany
November 7 to 9, 2003
The 1/87 Vehicle Club’s German members are happy to announce
the first meet outside of North America. It will take place from November
7 to 9, 2003, in Petersberg-Steinau, located on the outskirts of Fulda,
Hesse, and not too far from Frankfurt/Main in central Germany. We invite
model builders and collectors alike, whether they are club members
or just interested in 1/87th scale vehicles, and whatever their particular
field of interest in H0 scale models may be. The weekend will offer
plenty of time for making new friends and “talking plastic” during
and between the planned events:

Tour of the German fire brigade museum’s vehicle park in
Fulda |
2-7 pm |
Model and diorama show and contest (please bring your models
and dioramas); sales booths of various hobby shops and small series
manufacturers such as MFÖ, Hobbyhaus Hetterich, Gunter’s
Car Company and others |

Announcement of contest winners |
8 pm |
Dinner, discussion of 1/87 Vehicle Club’s European chapter,
planning of future meets and events |
Sunday, November 9
10 am-1 pm |
Tour of the Merkers salt mine, home to Europe’s largest
subterranean excavator |
