We are sad to announce that master model builder, crane enthusiast, and friend, Denis Doucet, age 70, passed away on the night of May 6, 2021 in his hometown of Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Denis was a giant of a man physically, but he was also a giant in the hobby that we all love. Being a crane operator by trade, Denis' passion drove him to produce some of the most detailed and accurate crane models that we will ever see, probably most well known for his museum quality scratch-built Manitowoc 4100. Denis was quite the joker, and always a pleasure to be around. His knowledge of the hobby and of cranes knew no bounds and he is single handedly responsible for making many of us better modelers. Having known Denis personally, I can assure you that we will all miss him dearly, and wish the best for his family. - special thanks to Robert Kelly [posted 04/19/2021]
