This is a fire fighting truck, based on the military DAF YA328 6x6 chassis (nickname: Dikke Daf). The model is completely scratchbuilt with aid of some photographs and a 1/35th scale drawing of the standard military vehicle. The original (prototype) truck can now be seen in the DAF museum in Eindhoven. This model was built by H. Giezen of The Netherlands, who in real life is a fire fighter.
