First time contributor Jurgen Zander points out that, "In the previous [issue
of] “Model
Railroader” [April, 2003] it
was pointed out that the 1/87 web page is one of the best sites to
enjoy
road
vehicles
in HO scale. That is certainly true, and I can’t wait for the
next Photo Gallery to be posted." This is the first submission from Jurgern
and we appreciate his participation!
This International truck started off as a Magnuson solid resin
kit. The frames for the truck and trailer are made from 1/16” brass
square tubing. The beds are made from brass sheet, with paper stiffeners
glued in place. The beds are resting on real wood spacers, mounted on
the frame.
The truck wheels are the standard kit wheels, drilled, and with axles
pressed in. The wheels in the trailer are plastic rims with rubber tires
from
an unknown source.
