Here's a closeup view of Jurgen Zander's well drill. The well drill is completely scratchbuilt from brass. The tower is telescoping and hinged, so it can be lowered and folded over for transportation. The mechanism is "powered" from underneath with a hand crank and a little drive belt to make the chisel go up and down. Also shown in Photo Gallery 137.
