This classic pair of "Big R" (Roadway Express) rigs by Fred Gruin was built using the Walthers solid cast resin Mack R model truck kit and a White Road Boss model built from an Ivers Engineering white metal kit. Fred added roof mounted airshields to both models, detailing and painted them in Roadway colors. Both trailers were scratchbuilt. The Western Gillette trailer on the left has not been re-decaled yet after the purchase of the company by Roadway.
