This model of a 1921 Defiance was made from scratch in 2002 based
on a photo in the book, "The Illustrated Encyclopedia of American
Trucks and Commercial Vehicles". The cab and hood were made of
styrene, and the fenders were made from brass. The wheels were made
up by modifying wheels from a Jordan Highways kit. The wheels from
the kit were filed down to accept larger tires made from shaped 3/8" plastic
tubing. This gave the model the appearance of having 34" wood
spoke wheels. The stake bed was built up with scale lumber and the
fruit baskets and boxes are by Preiser and Scale Structures Ltd.
