Here's another view Tom Conley's Peterbilt 379
with extended hood, this time with its trailer. The truck tractor
started out as a Herpa model. The extensive rework began with stretching
the
frame
and
lengthening
the hood.
This truck also features custom built straight pipes, battery boxes,
air tanks, air cleaners, chrome deckplate, chrome rear light bar,
rear full fenders, and large Texas bumper. It is finished out with
a black paintjob, with flames painted on the hood, fenders, and deckplate.
The trailer is an A-Line Utility 53 foot reefer, painted
to resemble a stainless steel sided trailer, with the top and bottom
rails painted
to match the truck tractor. The trailer undercarriage was
modified slightly to make a spread axle with painted full fenders
on both
axles. The truck tractor is also shown in Photo
Gallery 154.
