This model of a 1924 Corbitt Dump Truck was made in early 2002 and
features a scratchbuilt cab and chassis and a kitbashed dump box.
It is based on an illustration found in an out of print book, "American
Truck Spotters Guide 1920-1970". The cab and chassis were constructed
with styrene and fenders made from brass. The dump box uses side panels
from a Jordan Highways kit but was narrowed down to a scale 6 feet
by replacing the bottom panel, end panel, and rear gate with scratch
built elements. Wheels are modified Grandt Line and Circus Craft wagon
wheels and the driver figure is by Preiser. This model features a
working lift made from brass tubing and brass rod and a working dump
box.
