This purple and chrome model is the truck-equivalent to the figure of the Purple People Eater. It is an Athearn Kenworth W-900 cab which is mounted on a Herpa frame. Attached is a Herpa Kenworth Aerodyne sleeper. Two Wiking air cleaners and wheels from Herpa, white antennas, separate indicators on both fenders, scratchbuilt sun visor and a gruesome bug screen which Ralf made on his PC complete this model truck tractor. Hooked up to the Kenworth is a Herpa tanker trailer which matches the colors purple and chrome of the tractor. A lot of safety and "1203-combustible" decals used on that trailer are from Pen-Bay and Microscale Decals. The truck has New Jersey license plates. This photo from Ralf was one of the entries in our recent 2003 Holiday Model Contest and won the "Holiday Model" category.
