Jim Mitchell built this tanker to represent the tanker truck model from the movie "Duel". Jim started with an Ertl 1948 Peterbilt and added an Ulrich metal tanker trailer. Decals for license plates and trailer were scanned from digital still images taken at home from the movie. The scanned images were then cleaned completly of "snow." Mirrors are from Promotex. Weathering done with an airbrush and paint washes. The bumper, lights, air cleaner and horns were modified from Ertl parts. The driver is a Prieser figure cut to fit in the cab.
