Constructed from scratch in January of 2004, this model of a 1925
Corbitt dump truck took over 15 hours to build. The model is based
on an illustration found in an out of print book, "American Truck
Spotters Guide 1920-1970". Styrene and brass were used along with
a few molded parts produced by Precision Scale, On Trak, Grandt Line,
Evergreen Hill, and headlight lenses by MV Products. This model features
a working dump box and lift, and an opening rear gate. The wheels were
made up using the centers from two Jordan 1923 Mack Truck kits, and
plastic tubing for the rims and tires. The model was painted with Humbrol
paints and heavily weathered with dry colors and chalk, and a driver
figure was added by Preiser.
