Here's a pair of Ford F-600 trucks built from Lindberg "Hi
Rollers" snap
kits. The model on the right was built stright from the box and Karl's
modified truck is on the left. The box body was cut in half and stake
sides built up
from stripwood.
A lift gate was
built from one of the box doors and some of the kit's sprues. Mirrors are from
.020" wire and
card stock. Welding tanks, barrels, drums, spikes, and chain came out of Karl's
junk box. Decals
are from a Micro-Scale "N" scale set. This model was built in the mid-to-late
'70s and was
featured in the August 1978 issue of PROTOTYPE MODELER magazine.
