Jim Groeneweg built this model of a chemical tanker starting with an Athearn Freightliner. He replaced the wheels and tires with Boley products. The tanker is an old rendition of sorts featuring a Roadchamps tank with Herpa elliptical tanker fenders and details. It was done in the mid-eighties and Jim says this was his attempt at a chemical tanker...someday he says he hopes to build a better version of one. For now, it does quite nicely!
