Always with the unusual models, Daniel Vinay presents
one of the trucks that run between Peshawar and Kabul by the Khyber
Pass.
We are
indeed at the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The trucks found
here are transformations of almost any truck from the Sixties. The
addition to the top of the cab makes it possible to carry a maximum
of cargo and passengers. The decorations with vivid colors represent
either holy images and symbols intended to protect the truck or perhaps
the fantasies and passions of the driver. The basis of this model is
an Eko Ford Thames. The new body was created out of various parts and
the decorations required a few hours of patience.
