This pair of trucks from Uli Heufs are very nicely done conversions
of commercial models. The Peterbilt on the right is built from a Wiking
cab and hood, Herpa sleeper, and detail parts from A-Line, Trucks 'N
Stuff (grille), and others. Uli plans to weather the model to match
a photograph of an Alaskan rig he photographed but says he's not brave
enough yet!
The Mack (on the left) was inspired by a photo of a BASF Chemical truck.
Built mostly from Herpa parts and pieces. The most time consuming part
was the front guard which Uli carved from plastic and consists of eleven
individual pieces. Decals are from a 1/24 trailer kit.
