This model of a 1925 Duplex was built from scratch and altered twice.
In 2002, the body and chassis were built with styrene and brass, painted
with Humbrol enamels, and then weathered with dry pigments. In early
2004, a dump box was made for the model, and later, new wheels were
installed. The dump box is fully operational featuring a working lift,
and an opening rear gate. The model also features real rubber tires
(7/16" rubber O-rings). Circus Craft Wagon Wheels were filed with
a round needle file to turn the wagon wheels into rims and accept the
rubber O-rings. An illustration of the prototype can be found in the
book, "Handbook of Automobiles 1925-1926".
