Here's another look at Tom Conley's orange 379 Peterbilt with 53 foot
reefer trailer he calls "Island Breeze Express." It started
as a Herpa Peterbilt and has been modified with an extended and modified
hood and frame. The bumper, half fenders, tall exhaust stacks, deck
plates, nine roof lights, air cleaners, single headlights and rear bumper
were all scratchbuilt. The trailer, an A-Line 53 foot Utility refrigerated
trailer, has a custom built spread axle with long quarter fenders and
a newer style Thermo-King reefer unit. The truck has custom made Island
Breeze Express decals on it plus "5 O' Clock Somewhere" decals
on the back of the bunk. The trailer and truck also have palm trees
hand painted on them. The entire truck was lowered and had low profile
tires put on it to give it a "hot rod-ish look" as Tom calls
it. Also shown in Photo Gallery
