This model of a 1925 Dorris was constructed in October
of 2004. The model is completely scratchbuilt using styrene, brass,
and scale lumber, except for the wheels and a few detail parts. The
wheels were customized by modifying Circus Craft Wagon Wheels. These
were filed down slighly narrower and tires were added by filing, stretching,
and painting 3/8" plastic tubing to represent early 36" solid
rubber tires. The large crate on deck is a repainted commercial casting,
and the driver figure is by Preiser. An illustration of the prototype
can be found in the book, "Handbook of Automobiles 1925-1926".
