Andy Burrow tells us, "If you have old Merc Actros
cabs lying around you could easily change them into ERF ECX's. These
are models of ERF's out but it uses the Cararama MAN cab. The red ERF
was my first build. Iused plastacard to cover the whole cab and make
the bumpers. It is very basic. The fleet colour is Hinchcliffe of Bury
(UK). The flat body is from a Foden starter set; the chassis is Schuco.
The load is the Mercedes car seen in many of my dioramas. It is now
burnt! The second ERF ECX is in the livery of Turners of Hoole near
Preston (UK). I made a custom exhaust using tubing air lines from a
1:50 Corgi model. It is more detailed than the model on the left. I
have got all the cab panels right and a grille made too."
