According to Randy, "Specialized bodies for trucks
proved strong sellers in the early days of the automobile". This
vintage sump pump model was built in October of 2004 from scratch based
on an illustration found in the book, "Trucks and Vans" by
Bishop/Marshall. The model was constructed with styrene and brass, painted
with Humbrol enamels, and heavily weathered with dry pigments. The wheels
on the model were made from scratch also. These were built up with plastic
tubing for the rims and tires and .020 styrene sheet cut using a template
to represent early spoked wheels. A driver figure was added by Preiser.
Over 20 hours were spent constructing this unique vintage vehicle.
