Andy Park tells us this model is quite a few years old and is of a MOL terminal tractor in the livery of ECT Delta Terminal in Maasvlakte near Rotterdam. Despite their small size, these ballasted tractors can haul up to 7 (yes, seven) chassis and 40' containers around a flat dockside area, grossing over 250 tonnes if all 7 boxes were fully freighted! The model was built using a chassis stretched from a Herpa item with different tanks added, a Herpa DAF cab from their spare parts series and scratchbuilt integral ballast body and heavy duty bumper/roof protection. The wheels are Herpa wide truck rims filled and sanded to represent drive axles front and rear.
