This photo is of a 1/87 scale model of a cab-over-engine
British Leyland truck of the Twenties. The model was scratchbuilt with
styrene and brass, and painted with Humbrol #96, a blue gray. It was
weathered with white dry pigments, and then another wash of blue gray
applied to give it an "out in the sun too long" apperance.
The wheels are modified Snapperroo spoked wheels taken from a kit purchased
on the internet. The wheels were filed flat, and 3/8" plastic tubing
was cut, filed, and stretched over the wheels to make the scale 36"
simulated solid rubber tires. Definitely, this is an unusual and strange
looking truck even for the Twenties.
