Styrene, brass, and scale lumber were used to scratchbuild this model
of a 1920 Titan stake bed truck. The model is based on a photograph
found in the book, "The Illustrated Encyclopedia of American Trucks." Circus
Craft wagon wheels with 3/8" plastic tubing stretched to
size was used to simulate the wood spoked wheels and solid rubber tires.
The model was painted by hand with thinned down Humbrol enamels and
weathered with dry pigments and chalk. A driver figure by Preiser was
affixed securely into the cab. For that final touch, MV headlight lenses
were glued in place on lighting fixtures made with seed beads.
