Here is a 1/87 scale model of a 1925 Schacht four ton dump truck built from scratch in December, 2004. The model is based on an illustration found in an out of print book, "Handbook of Automobiles 1925-1926," constructed with styrene, brass, and scale lumber. Circus Craft Wagon Wheels with filed and stretched 3/8" plastic tubing were used to simulate the wood spoked wheels and solid rubber tires. The model features a working dump box, operating lift, and opening rear gate.
