Here's another of the continuing DJL Construction truck
series from Christophe Culis. This time it is a Mack Granite twin-steer
dump truck, it was shot on the DJL asphalt plant diorama earlier
this past summer. Christophe used a Masterbilt Models cab mounted
on an extended Mack CH frame from Promotex lengthened to receive a 19ft
dump body. He built the dump body, which is based on a Lagacé prototype
(a well renowned dump body manufacturer in Québec known for its
18 or 19ft dump applications for 12 wheelers) and the traditional
stainless steel fender around the second front axle and the steps. Extensions
on the sidewalls of the dump body are made of balsa and painted red as
it is customary for the DJL dump truck fleet. As usual, the decals are
from Ricks Decals.
