This is an early '80s Chevy Bison that has a scratchbuilt chassis with flotation steer tires from Athearn and Lee Town wheels and rear tires along with the lift axle!! The dump box was made from two Lindberg boxes and slightly modified. The cab/hood is of course the rare Herpa Chevy sister to the GMC General. The windshield was modified and that was about all that was done to that model. Built in the mid-eighties, the model lacks some of today's common details according to Jim.
