This is a model of a chip wagon Michel Lortie built using a Sylvan resin kit of a '37 Pontiac as a base. The body is built up using Evergreen sheet styrene, figures are by Preiser painted by Michel. This type of chip wagon was an iconic vehicle in the Montreal of the 1950's. Their chips were the best! Michel says, "Maybe I am nostalgic but they were much better than what's curently served by the big chains. They were basically mom and pop businesses and were ruled out of the streets in the 70's on sanitary concerns."
