This Mercury Motor Express from Fred Gruin was built using an Alloy Forms white metal tractor on a Lindberg plastic frame. Fred added brass air horns, A-Line mirrors, and new Athearn (former A-Line and Milepost 501) 40' Freuhauf trailer. Alloy Forms wheels were installed on both units, as well as Ken Goudy decals. Exhaust stack and air breather were fabricated from aluminum tubing.
