This rather creative "intermodal" rig utilizes a Lee Town
(predecessor to Alloy Forms) Mack B71 white metal kit for the tractor.
The tractor headache rack was scratchbuilt from Evergreen styrene strips
and rod. The rotating beacon warning lights are from ROCO. The cribbing
under the front end of the boxcar are scale wooden railroad ties. The
trailer is an interesting 1960s Wiking rail car hauler with integral
rails. The boxcar is a detailed and heavily weathered Accurail kit.
The yellow warning flags on all corners were made from painted masking
tape on brass wire. Alan painted and detailed the tractor to represent
a typical heavy hauler truck. The boxcar is on its way to becoming
a local farmer's storage shed!
