Peterbilt 357 Logging Truck - By Wayne Crews

Inspired by Dennis Raper's Mack CH Ozark Logger, Wayne Crews built this Pete 357 logger. Wayne started with a Norscot Pete 389 and as soon as he stripped the paint off the disassembled sleeper cab, started to cut it up. First thing was the sleeper had to go and then he cut the front fenders off to move them back so it would resemble a 357 SBFA. Next came the chassis and for that Wayne used the excellent chassis kit from Dennis Aust matched up with his rubber pad walking beam rear suspension and Kenworth T800 front suspension to match the set back axle.

With help and lots of info from Dennis Raper, Wayne was able to scratchbuild the boom and tower. Wayne says his original plans to make the boom a static, unmovable boom changed and he made it all movable and posable.
