Here's another look at a Mack CH logging truck from Dennis Raper. The base model is from Herpa with the tandem section from a Herpa West Coast pole trailer. Dennis used styrene rod to make the trailer into a folding pole trailer. This is a common trailer in the southeastern United States. The trailer was scratchbuilt except for the tandems. The truck has a Dennis Aust headache rack, toolbox,and winch behind the headache rack. Dennis says he didn't do too much to the truck aside from changing the tires and wheels, priming, painting, and weathering! In the process he added a bent front bumper and a step on the frame. As Dennis describes it, "Just a plain, old, faded out logging truck and trailer." Previously featured in Photo Gallery 482.
