This scene is part of the collection of models from the special diorama Dennis Raper presented to Discovery Channel's Bobby Goodson (of Swamp Loggers fame) for his birthday the weekend of May 7-8, 2011. Dennis made a special trip to North Carolina to deliver a diorama.
The Mack RD600 was built from a Ralph Ratcliffe Models resin cab. Dennis mounted the cab on a Herpa Ford chassis and added Ralph's fuel tanks, battery boxes, air horns, bumper, and his 10 hole aluminum wheels and tires. The headache rack and air tank are from Dennis Aust and the mirrors are from Plano. Dennis also "opened" the vent on the hood and painted a pink "sweater" on the bulldog, just like on the real Goodson truck which is driven by a woman, Joy Malpass. The weathering is mostly watered down "grimy black" from PollyScale and WeatherSystem powders. The mats under the truck were built by Dennis and Will Grendell.
