The local Colorado Highway Department Caterpillar road grader takes a break from its road maintenance work on main street in Ophir Loop, Colorado (above). Below, the Cat grader gets in position to begin finish work on the access road. In the background the C.B. Johnson Company 1956 Autocar DC10364S ore trucks with Cummins 335 horsepower engines get ready for a day's work around the derelict tram house at Ophir Loop. The grader was built from a GHQ white metal kit and the Chevrolet pickup is a Busch product with added details in the pickup bed. The Autocar trucks, tractors, dump bodies, converter dollies and dump trailers are all built from Alloy Forms white metal kits. The D8 dozer was built from a GHQ white metal kit.
