This Santa Fe big rig is cruising in the middle of "Nowhere",
New Mexico sometime in the 1950s. The model started as an Ertl 1948
Peterbilt with van trailer. The Ertl trailer was stripped with several
dips in Pine sol and then brake fluid, painted chrome silver, then decaled.
The cab of the tractor was replaced with a Puget Sound Castings International
Harvester 1960's M or FD cab. An exhaust stack from Con-Cor and a horn
from Athearn completed the rebuild. Decals were made by Karl and printed
by Don Manlick. This set will be available soon as a commercial decal
set.
