Here are more photos of Jim Groeneweg's Mack Superliner. The Masterbilt Models resin cab/hood/sleeper are mounted on a lengthened Promotex Ford Aeromax chassis utilizing the awesome NeWay air ride suspension. Dennis Aust supplied the wheels and tires with Athearn Mack R windshield and interior, a resin toolbox, and a scratchbuilt “hot box”, half fenders, and antenna.
The van trailer is a Walthers 48’ Stoughton with A-Line spoke rear wheels with a sliding suspension spread out to 72'”. Ken Goudy decals were applied to the trailer with the tractor unit number coming from Microscale. Authentic Kingsway green metallic (brokers formula) paint was used for the tractor with the standard green applied to the trailer. The extra colors (silver and black) as well as the stripe scheme, were applied as would have been up to the owner-operator of the truck. This combination was previously featured in Photo Gallery 588. The truck tractor was previously featured in Photo Galleries 590 & 604.
