This Holland rail welding unit was built by David Nicholson using a Herpa Ford LTA-9000 Aeromax long wheelbase truck chassis and box. David modified the box with cutouts in the side and installed doors. The wheels are from Herpa and Boley, has scratchbuilt working hi-rail wheels move up and down, the welding unit slides in and out of the box of truck, and the welder was all scratchbuilt with controls.
