This grain hauling rig from Jim Groeneweg features a Don Mills resin Mack F700 truck tractor with several modifications. The cab is mounted on a Promotex chassis utilizing the NeWay Air Ride suspension with rear wheels from an Athearn Mack B and ten hole Alcoa aluminum front wheels from an Athearn Freightliner. The windshield wipers are from an Athearn Ford C and deck plate from Kibri. The Mack "corporate" bumper is resin cast and the air breather tube/snorkel, grab handles, turn signals, and mirrors are all scratchbuilt items. The rear of the cab has a bunk extension added; this is not on the kit but Jim says it's found on most Mack trucks he remembers so he added it. He thinks he used a cab back wall from a Euro Volvo or Scania kit from Herpa. Mack logos (on mud flaps) are from PenBay. The 43' Wilson Pacesetter grain trailer is a Lonestar Models kit, beautifully finished!
