This Kenworth T800 truck tractor and oilfield frac trailer model was built by Günter Storch from prototype photos Günter found on the internet. The Kenworth T800s again have resin cabs and sleepers from German modeler Roland Hahn. Chassis are from Promotex, air cleaners and exhaust were made with Evergreen styrene, and the mirrors are from A-Line.
The heavy trailer is more complicated and all scratchbuilt. Günter mostly used self cast resin parts, Evergreen styrene, and some photo-etched material (from German supplier Truck-Line) for the big coolers. As can be seen in these photos, the only commercial parts on the trailer are the Promotex wheels with drilled holes and fire extinguishers from Preiser. The Alberta license plates and the Trican logo are self-printed. Conspicuity stripes are from A-Line. Posted December 2, 2017 |
