Here's another look at Jamie Groeneweg's outstanding Western Star
4900SX and 53' Utility reefer model displayed at the 2004
National Convention.
This is a resin kit cab and hood with an Italeri Western Star 70" condo
style sleeper mounted on a modified Herpa Ford chassis. Other modified
items
include
Herpa
half
fenders
and tool
boxes,
scratchbuilt items are battery boxes, air breathers, exhaust stacks,
bug deflector, tail light bar, fifth wheel carrier, mirrors and Texas
style front bumper. A-Line provided the steer axle wheels and Dennis
Aust the drives! Chrome is Alclad and Bare-Metal-Foil; paint is R-M
custom mix base/clear coat. The trailer is a 53' A-Line Utility with
the same colors and paint system. Spare tire rack was scratchbuilt
and the suspension was modified
to a 72" slider, rear doors were given the famous Utility quilt
treatment. Wheels and tires are Dennis Aust trailer hubs and the decals
are both from A-Line and Pen-Bay. Also Featured in Photo
